🚧 Notice to Residents – Water Project 🚧 As part of the upcoming water project, the Village’s engineers (BCA), and the DPW will be taking pre-construction photos to document property conditions. They will begin on East and West Main Street and continue throughout the project area, ensuring the most recent condition of each property is recorded. This helps guarantee that all properties are restored to their pre-construction condition or better by the contractors once the work is completed. If you see someone taking photos of your property, please do not be alarmed—they are simply documenting existing conditions for this project. Thank you for your cooperation!
Subject: Important Notice - Easement Signing for Water Project.
As you are aware, we are preparing for a major water project, which includes upgrading water lines throughout the village. In order to proceed with this project smoothly and efficiently, we need to obtain easement signatures for certain properties within the village. An easement is a legal agreement that allows the village to access and utilize a portion of private property for public use, specifically for the installation and maintenance of water infrastructure. This is a necessary step to ensure the success of the water project, which will ultimately benefit all residents by improving water quality and reliability. To facilitate the easement signing process, our municipal staff will be going door to door starting in the coming weeks to reach out to each household that requires an easement. We understand that your time is valuable, so we aim to make this process as convenient as possible for you. If your property requires an easement, and you are not available when staff visits your home, they will leave a letter on your door with instructions on how to proceed. We kindly ask that you contact us to schedule a suitable time for our staff to return if you are not available during their initial visit.
Additionally, for your convenience, we have a notary available at our village office at the Brown Mansion located at 216 brown Blvd, where you can visit us Monday through Friday between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM to sign the easement documents. Please feel free to call before visiting to confirm that your property requires an easement and to make sure the notary is available the day you will be visiting at 315-782-7650, extension 1.
For those who do not reside on the property, but are responsible for signing the easement documents, we are happy to accommodate your needs. If you would like your form mailed or emailed to you, please contact us at [email protected] or 315-782-7650, extension 1. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated, as it will help us move forward with the water project in a timely manner. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the easement signing process or the water project itself, please do not hesitate to contact Mayor Connor at 315-408-6044.
